Paul Neeley Brown

Paul Neeley Brown (born October 4, 1926) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Grayson County, Texas, Brown was an Electrician's Mate in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1944 to 1946 and from 1950 to 1951. He received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1950. He was in private practice in Sherman, Texas from 1951 to 1953. He was an assistant U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of Texas from 1953 to 1959. He was a U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas from 1959 to 1961. He was in private practice in Sherman, Texas from 1961 to 1985.

Brown was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Brown was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on September 11, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 16, 1985, and received his commission on October 17, 1985. He assumed senior status on April 1, 2001.
